  • Financial Analyst

    The ideal Candidate should come out of a Manufacturing background.

    The Financial Analyst is responsible for various financial functions within the accounting and finance team. The position will report to the Finance Director. They will provide support for Accounts Payable and Receivables staff. Areas of responsibility will include accounting (month end), planning, analysis, reporting, and tax compliance. The job offers a base salary plus bonus and outstanding benefits.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include:

    Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

    Play an active role in the month-end financial close and reporting process. Perform monthly financial analysis and communicate to the relevant colleagues in order to support management’s decision-making and scenario analysis.

    Report monthly financial results. Conceive and implement cost management initiatives with the goals of reducing overall spending and lowering the cost per unit sold metric. Drive cost management throughout the organization by promoting a culture of spending control and accountability.

    Support the annual Planning process through financial analysis and entry of planning figures in the relevant financial systems.

    Oversee annual physical inventory.

    Responsible for monthly tracking of off-site (consignment) inventories.

    Prepare the quarterly Inventory Reserve (manual devaluation).

    Coordinate issuance of Dealer agreements (contract review/oversight).

    Ensure full compliance with Sales & Use Tax filings and payments for the required provinces.

    Conduct quarterly self-assessment of compliance with corporate guidelines (internal control).

    Support the annual external audit, including preparation of PBC (Provided By Client) documents and responding to auditors’ questions and requests.

    Requirements:

    2-5 years of relevant professional experience supporting the activities of manager/director level professionals in the financial area.

    Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA is a plus.

    Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills at all levels from Corporate down through all levels, including the ability to interact with executive-level officers.

    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Prioritize, schedule, assign and coordinate the work of technicians and assigned staff to accomplish a wide variety of duties related to inspection, testing, and repair of all protective equipment in the Shop and at customer locations.

    Oversee and lead work performed by laboratory technicians and ensure they perform their duties in compliance with appropriate safety practices, procedures, and all applicable standards including ASTM, IEEE, CSA, CUL, and/or as specifically directed by our customers

Our client is in the GTA, they are looking for an experienced intermediate electrical designer with an industrial automation/Robot background. Electrical Designer will be working in a team of designers/engineers/service technicians, the Electrical Designer will play a critical role in the design and implementation of robotic automation systems. The right candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience from drafting machine electrical schematics, sizing and setting up servo drive systems, wiring, and troubleshooting. The Electrical Designer may have had experience working for other machine builders and systems integrators, notably in the plastics packaging industry.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Work closely with the Quoting/Mechanical Design/Electrical and Controls Design/Procurement/Service teams to design and build electrical control systems for automation cells.

    Thoroughly understanding the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Industrial Robot Safety requirements, design electrical and pneumatic schematics for control, power distribution, and I/O panels.
